Supporting Abercastle Harbour

The Abercastle Boat Owners CIC is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Every pound received through memberships, mooring fees, parking charges and voluntary donations is reinvested into the harbour and its facilities for the benefit of the community and all those who enjoy Abercastle.

Income helps us maintain the slipway and car park, manage the harbour moorings, support public facilities, organise community events and invest in projects that protect and enhance this unique harbour for future generations.

We thank everyone who supports the harbour by using our facilities responsibly and contributing towards their upkeep.

Launching

Paddle-boards, Kayaks & Small Craft

There is no charge for launching paddle-boards, kayaks, canoes and other similar hand-launched craft.

However, voluntary donations are always greatly appreciated. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us care for the harbour and improve facilities for everyone.

Donations can be made using the honesty box located by the slipway.

Trailered Boats

Launching larger trailered boats is available by prior arrangement.

Charge: £10 per day

Please contact us in advance to discuss access, launching arrangements and any local harbour guidance.

Visitor Moorings

Subject to availability, visitor moorings are available for short stays.

From £25 per week

Please contact the Harbour Master in advance to discuss availability and make arrangements before your arrival.

Car Parking

The harbour car park is managed by the Abercastle Boat Owners CIC, with all income being reinvested into the management and improvement of the harbour and its facilities.

Parking charges are:

Up to 3 hours: £5
Daily parking: £10

Please park considerately and leave sufficient space for harbour users, emergency access and launching activities.

Parking Concessions

As the car park is owned by the National Trust, National Trust members may park free of charge in accordance with National Trust parking arrangements.

In addition, residents of the communities of Mathry, St Nicholas and Llanrhian are also entitled to park free of charge.

Donations

Many visitors enjoy Abercastle without using the boating facilities, whether walking the coast path, exploring the harbour or simply spending time by the sea.

If you have enjoyed your visit and would like to help support the continued care of the harbour, voluntary donations are always welcome.

Every contribution, however large or small, helps us maintain this special place for everyone to enjoy.
